The first round for this years MoMo proposals has been launched.

The Dutch private climate finance challenge ‘MoMo4Climate’ calls for fresh proposals. MoMo is interested in ideas that attract private investment for climate mitigation or adaptation programs. The challenge is to send us a proposal that can attract private investors. The deadline for the first call is 15 April. Please use the registration form to submit your proposal.

MoMo4Climate tests your business case through a panel of financial experts, offers advice to make your case more investable, and awards support to the most promising ideas. This year, the two best proposals of the challenge stand to win € 25,000 to further develop their business cases.

MoMo4Climate advises proponents of proposals with particular potential on the requirements and possibilities for submission to funds, such as The Dutch Good Growth Fund, and on opportunities for support in capacity building, technical assistance or business case development.

In 2017, there will again be three calls for initiatives that involve a private sector company or financier in the Netherlands that proposes a climate intervention in a developing country.

There is also a separate call for proposals from Indonesia. Together with the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Jakarta, the country-wide ‘MoMo challenge Indonesia 2017’ was launched on March 1st.
